Stephen ES Crook

I'm an Associate Professor of Geography at Palomar College in San Marcos, California. I teach a constantly changing array of courses that includes introductory Physical Geography (Geog 100 and 100L), World Regional Geography (Geog 103), Intermediate Geographic Information Systems (Geog 136), and Introduction to Remote Sensing (Geog 140). Along with department colleagues, I recently helped launch our California Naturalist Certification course as a Geography field course (Geog 195) in collaboration with the UC Agriculture & Natural Resources Extension.

If you want to get in touch about my Palomar classes, feel free to shoot me an email at scrook @ palomar.edu. Normally I'm in room NS110E in the Natural Sciences building on Palomar's main campus!

I also recently completed my PhD in geography in the Joint Doctoral Program at San Diego State University (SDSU) and UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) specializing in human-environment interactions, ecosystem services, conservation GIS, and environmental policy. I'm interested in integrating social surveys and participatory mapping with ecosystem service modeling, GIS, and quantitative methods.
